Stanford China Program has received generous start-up support from the Stanford University President’s Office, as well as from FSI, alumni, foundations, and friends. SCP welcomes gifts to continue its work in seeding new research initiatives, funding innovative projects, increasing visibility, and allocating funds to advance its research and teaching goals.
SCP has an ambitious plan for fundraising and program-building, which is commensurate with China’s global importance and with the priorities of Stanford’s International Initiative. SCP currently has three fundraising priorities:
- Support for conferences, seminars, and lecture series on the Stanford campus, including a regular social science workshop for faculty and graduate students across the university.
- Support for a regular program of visiting scholars from China who will
collaborate with SCP faculty. - Support for graduate student fellowships and internships for research and
professional work experience in China. These opportunities will be made
available to students in all of Stanford's academic programs and professional schools, with the aim to encourage deeper involvement in China-oriented activities across campus.
